HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CASHMERE

Please Dry Clean Only

You won’t need to wash your cashmere after each wear, but do ensure your pieces are kept clean to avoid attracting any moths. We strongly recommend professional dry cleaning but with care and love, you can also hand wash with 30°C cold water at home. If you choose to hand wash, please follow the steps below.

PILLING
Pilling on cashmere is not a sign of poor quality or a design flaws. Pilling is a natural characteristic of the long fibers and can be easily fixed using a cashmere comb. Avoid combing your sweaters too often as this may result in holes.

STORAGE
Do not hang your cashmere garments as this could cause their shapes to change. Fold them and store them in a drawer or a storage box. If you are having troubles with moths, put a few cedar balls in the drawer or box and the moths will stay away. We strongly recommend putting in an airtight vacuum bag.

HAND WASH INSTRUCTIONS
You’ll need:
– Sink or plastic basin (two is ideal)
– Mild liquid detergent made for cashmere
– A clean towel
– A mesh drying rack

STEP 1
Fill your sink/basin with a small squeeze of liquid detergent and cold (30'C or less) water. It is imperative that you do not use warm/hot water as this will cause your garment to shrink. Gently swirl your hand in the water to create a light bubble bath.

STEP 2
Turn your cashmere inside out and then place it into your soap bath. Make sure to not pull, stretch or rub the fabric. Leave to soak for 5 minutes. Do not let your cashmere soak for more than 10 mins.

STEP 3
Drain the sink and rinse your cashmere with cool water until there is no more soap. Gently press the water out of the garmet and then place it lengthwise on a clean, dry bath towel. Fold the towel over the garment and press with your palms to squeeze out excess water onto the towerl. DO NOT wring or twist your garment.

DRY
Flat dry your cashmere garment overnight. The easiest way is to lie it on a mesh drying rack.
