Could you tell us about yourself?

I am Jenny Tong, I run a couple of brands including a bridal store and photography. I have been a full-time professional for ten years.

What is the most meaningful part of your job?

My work is about documenting happiness. Being able to use my skills and artistic vision to capture precious moments for my clients, so that the photographs become treasured keepsakes - that is the most meaningful thing.

Tell us more on your recent travels and ideal travel destinations for this winter?

This winter I travelled to Hokkaido, in the summer I went to Spain, and in fall I went to Malaysia. When it comes to winter, I like places where it snows, I love snow scenes. Therefore, Hokkaido is absolutely the most ideal destination foe the winter.

What are your must-have travel fashion items?

I like statement jewelry pieces. Because in my choice of clothing I prefer clean lines and streamlined silhouettes, accessories allow me to add a little something extra to understated outfits. My favorite type of accessory is earrings. Even the simplest of outfits can be elevated with the right pair of standout earrings. They are easy to bring, small and can do a lot of mix and matches!

What does your look tell about your personality? Describe your style in 3 words.

Monochrome, Minimalist, Design-focused are definitely my words. My overall style emphasized is clean, subtle designs with an emphasis on geometric forms and minimal accessorizing to stand out from modest clothing choices. Simplicity and understated elegance are prioritized over flashy or loud fashion. A sharp yet pared-back look feels most authentic to who I am.

What is the most enduring/ long-lasting apparel piece in your wardrobe? Why?

My closet is almost entirely comprised of monochrome black, white and grey clothing. I prefer pieces made from high quality materials in simple, sharp silhouettes that feel virtually timeless.

 What are the essential qualities when it comes to a “timeless” fashion piece?

I believe true fashion is not about chasing trends or seeking to be "one of a kind". Often the most classic designs are the simplest. They perfectly complement the human body shape through clean lines and emphasizing the beauty of silhouette. Attention to comfortable, hardwearing materials indicates durability rather than disposability. This is what defines timeless style for me.

How do you define whether a piece is comfortable, e.g. material and cutting?

The skin will tell you whether clothing is comfortable or not. If after putting something on, I feel like the garment is an extension of my skin, with no constriction or burden, then it's comfortable.

What is your view toward sustainable fashion? How do you apply it to your daily life?
For clothing to be sustainably designed and produced, the materials must have an environmentally sustainable foundation. The designs should not be overly trend-driven so that they satisfy long-term daily needs, thus not requiring frequent new purchases. Sustainable fashion must emphasize durability and timelessness over transient trends.

Which DCV item is your favourite and blends into your wardrobe seamlessly?
The black Cashmere top “Kate” and pant “Theodora” perfectly match my everyday style - comfortable, easy to style, understated yet designed. I notice that DCV uses recycled cashmere which is sustainable yet feels luxurious against the skin. I wear them almost everyday in cooler days.

Which item(s) from the DCV collection stand out to you the most?
The black Cashmere top “Kate” is absolutely my favorite. I love the irregular draping of the design. It perfectly accentuates the feminine curves over the shoulders in a subtle yet artful way. This asymmetric neckline adds visual intrigue without needing dramatic cutouts or embellishments. With just a few well-chosen accessories like earrings, shoes, and a handbag, I can effortlessly achieve a fashionable aesthetic.
